How does it work?

  • Step 1 - Assessment

    First we start with a full body assessment to test your upper & lower body strength, your core strength and stability, balance, cardiovascular fitness and mobility & flexibility. We may also take some health markers like your blood pressure, body fat percentage and waist circumference if necessary and specific to your goals.

  • Step 2 - Programme Creation

    I create a programme of exercise and other lifestyle factors that will be appropriate for your current fitness level and specific to your needs and targeted towards the goals we have agreed for you over the next 4-6 week period.

  • Step 3 - Time to workout!

    We go through your programme together (with some solo training if agreed), and ensure you have the correct technique for each exercise, are comfortable with each lifestyle adjustment we are looking to improve and I hold you accountable each week to ensure we stay on track to reach your goals.

  • Step 4 - Re-assessment & Progress Report

    Every 4-6 weeks we’ll have a look at where we are, how far we’ve come, and make the necessary adjustments to your fitness programme and lifestyle plan to keep moving forwards and progressing over the next 4-6 week period.

  • Online Health Coaching

    For clients who prefer to exercise in the comfort of their own home, or don’t have much time to travel, Online Health Coaching can be an ideal solution to their fitness needs. Each session is delivered one-to-one with Stephen Thompson. Most clients train with a combination of In-Person and Online Health Coaching.

  • In-Person Health Coaching

    This is a great option for those that live local to Newport in South Wales, Bristol or London and have some extra time to travel to meet for in-person sessions. Minimal exercise equipment means that exercising in nature or at home works well. Most of my clients have a combination of In-Personal and Online Health Coaching.

  • Online Personal Training is training with your coach at a location that is super convenient for you; whether that’s at home, in the park or at your local gym. We fire up a video call and deliver our sessions online with you.

    Many people find this to be a great way to fit in exercise into their busy schedules, and it includes all of the additional services that in-person Personal Training includes (individualised exercise and lifestyle habits programmes).

  • Most of my clients train between 3-5 times a week. Some train just twice a week, because they are also very active and involved in sports or other intense exercise at other times in the week.

    This will all be discussed during our consultation and taking into consideration when creating your exercise and lifestyle programme, but it will heavily depend on your goals and current fitness levels.

  • Yes. If you can upgrade or cancel your monthly training programme anytime and that will start for the next month at the end of this block.

  • If Online Personal Training you have the benefit of training in your own home, or in a local park, or at your local gym too! Online Personal Training can be super convenient and slot into your busy schedule without the need to travel too far.

    If training In-Person with your coach, you will either train at your home, a local park space near you or at the coach’s training space.

  • This will depend on your goals, how lofty they are, your exercise experience and current fitness levels, but also your commitment to achieving results. We can create the best programme in the world for you to achieve your desired outcomes, your coach will motivate you and keep you accountable, but ultimately you will be the one that needs to exercise the discipline and grit to get you there.
